First Flush for Onaway Sewer System: October 26, 2004 was an historic day, marking the first customer connection to Onaway’s new municipal sewage treatment system. The first connection signified successful completion for Phase One of the project, which included both the treatment system and interceptor pipes serving the central part of town. Meanwhile, Phase II construction has already begun along Highway M-211. This part of the project will serve commercial and industrial development, including the Onaway Renaissance Zone.
